Meet David and Kathy, our Dancers of the Month. David and Kathy took ballroom dance classes at the Chicago Park District for about one year, and then decided to take 25 years off before coming to BDC for lessons back in August 2018. They’ve been learning waltz, foxtrot and swing (swing being their fave). The Latin dances will come later!

Meet Elizabeth Davis, AKA Bette, our February 2020 Dancer of the Month! Bette is a California native who had intermittent stops in Arizona and Nebraska before calling Chicago home. Bette has been a part of BDC since very early on; he’s been dancing with Matthew since 2010 (almost 10 years!!!). In the period of time, she’s been a staple at our parties and social events and often lends a hand to hang a painting or take photos at an event. We love Bette and wouldn’t be the same without her!

Meet Allie Stigall and Kent Smith, our January 2020 Dancers of the Month! They’d been talking about taking dance lessons for the last couple of years and thought it would be a fun activity to do as a couple. They moved to the Lakeview/North Center area in March 2019 and passed Ballroom Dance Chicago daily going back-and-forth to their gym, Windy City CrossFit. In July 2019 they got engaged, which gave them the final push to start dancing!

Meet Hannah Palmer & Andy Pasquesi, our December Dancers of the Month! They grew up about 15 mins away from each other in the suburbs of Chicago, but only met two years ago! They got engaged this summer and will be getting married on February 29th, 2020.
