Who: Private Event with Invite only. Current and Previous clients + friends and family!
What: Dance Party. Wine Tasting (+byo cheese). Foxtrot Class.
The dance floor will be open all night, with a Foxtrot class happening at the beginning of the night with open dancing to follow. The wine tasting will occur concurrently with the open dancing, although the tasting will have a hard end at 10 PM, when we will vote on our favorite wine(s). The idea with the tasting is to ask people to taste alongside you - maybe even a different person/couple for every wine! We'll have tasting guides to help you think through the appearance, aromas, flavors and etc. of the wines. You'll give a score to every wine you taste so you can keep track of your favorites. If you're worried about alcohol intake levels, keep in mind that you don't need to swallow the wine. You can sniff, taste and spit it out so that you're not swerving all of the dance floor.
Also, feel free to participate in both aspects of the night (dancing and wine/cheese) or just one of them; please don't feel pressured to drink or dance if you're not up to it.
Wine Guidelines: Bring a wine of your choosing - white, red, orange, rose or sparkling (1 bottle per attendee (or couple, if you're coming with a partner), in the $25+ price range. This tasting will be blind, so make sure to keep your bottle hidden when you check in.
Additionally, we’re asking everyone to bring a cheese or two to share so we’re not all drinking on empty stomachs. BDC has crackers, serving trays, knives, plates, etc.
Dancing info: We will be teaching foxtrot for the evening and learning how to travel around the dance floor. We will be playing a huge variety of music when we get into the social dancing, with dances like waltz, foxtrot, salsa, swing, etc represented. Dance if you'd like. Sit and watch if you prefer. The night is yours so do what you'd like!
